Waves Support
- ▸Every Waves Plugin, Listed Individually: PlugPane now auto-detects
/Applications/Waves/Plug-Ins V*and lists each installed Waves plugin as its own row — name, version, size and architecture — instead of a single opaque WaveShell entry - ▸Manage Waves Plugins Like Any Other: Enable, disable, delete (to the recoverable Bin) and reveal individual Waves plugins. The detail panel shows which host formats (AU, VST, VST3, AAX) expose each one via your installed WaveShells, and reminds you to rescan in your DAW
- ▸WaveShells, Labeled Correctly: WaveShell rows now carry a "Shell" badge, the right name and the Waves vendor, show how many plugins they host, and warn before you disable a whole format's worth of Waves plugins at once
- ▸New "Waves" Filter: A dedicated sidebar bucket with its own count, plus a Waves section in Settings showing the detected install folders and a switch to exclude them from scans
- ▸Stale Waves Versions in Duplicate Finder: The same plugin installed for two Waves versions (V14 and V15, say) is now surfaced as a duplicate group with the newest version listed first
Duplicate Finder
- ▸Match Reason Instead of a Percentage: Each group now says how it was matched — "Matched by bundle ID", "Matched by name", or "Installed for multiple Waves versions" — and lists the formats it contains, replacing the old "Confidence: 100%" label that read like a verdict on what to delete
- ▸Mismatch Warnings: Groups whose members report different publishers or different versions are badged. A publisher mismatch marks the group "needs manual review" — Preserve Types never auto-selects anything in it
- ▸Preserve Types Tells You When It Skips a Group: If you choose to keep AU and a plugin has no AU version installed, that group is left untouched and says "No AU version installed — nothing selected" instead of silently selecting every copy
Bug Fixes
- ▸Unrelated Plugins Grouped as Duplicates: Plugins built with the same sampler toolkit (Maize Sampler, Kontakt Player libraries, JUCE templates) ship an identical bundle identifier, and plugins with no readable Info.plist had none at all — either could collapse dozens of different plugins into one "duplicate" group. Bundle-ID matches now also require the plugin name to agree, and a missing bundle ID is never treated as a shared identity
- ▸Expanding the Wrong Duplicate Group: Two groups with the same plugin name could toggle each other open; expansion is now keyed on the group's members
- ▸WaveShell Mislabeling: The AU WaveShell previously showed up named after whichever Waves plugin it happened to list first (e.g. "Abbey Road Chambers (m)"), which scrambled sorting and search
- ▸Toggling Plugins With Dots in Their Name: Enabling/disabling matched bundles by name prefix, so "WaveShell1-AU 15.0" could act on its "15.5" sibling. Matching is now exact
